Dakota Subaru Experts
Our story began with a simple passion for rebuilding Subarus.
Before there was a shop, there were late nights in the garage, engines torn down on stands, and a genuine curiosity about how these cars were built and how to make them better. What started as working on Subarus as teenagers eventually turned into something bigger.
Over the last 15 years, we have rebuilt them, driven them, bought them, sold them, and learned them inside and out. That experience shaped the way we think about repair work today.
Dakota Subaru Experts was built on a simple philosophy. We choose to specialize rather than generalize.
By working exclusively on Subaru vehicles, we have developed a deeper understanding of common failure points, repair procedures, and long term reliability solutions unique to these vehicles. That focus allows us to diagnose accurately and repair with confidence.

Meet The Owners
Tanner and Mariah have been building together since high school.
What started as high school sweethearts working on Subarus in the driveway turned into years of rebuilding engines, growing businesses, and learning how to turn skill and passion into something sustainable.
Tanner began working on Subarus as a teenager and never really stopped. Over the past 15 years, he has rebuilt engines, worked at Subaru in the shop, and spent time learning from seasoned technicians who helped shape his mechanical foundation. Subarus even helped fund his path into aviation, rebuilding and selling them while earning his pilot’s license and becoming a commercial pilot.
In many ways, everything has come full circle. The same precision and discipline required in aviation now shapes how we approach mechanical repair. Attention to detail matters. Systems matter. Doing things correctly matters.
Mariah focuses on structure, systems, and building a professional environment where character matters as much as skill. Together, they are building more than just a repair shop. They are building something long term.

Do you work on other vehicles besides Subarus?
No. We specialize exclusively in Subaru vehicles.
Do you offer quotes or diagnostics?
We can sometimes provide a general price range when the needed repair has already been confirmed. If the cause of the problem is unknown, diagnostic testing may be required before we can provide an accurate estimate. Most diagnostic appointments begin with one hour of diagnostic time, and we will discuss any additional testing with you before proceeding.
How long do major repairs usually take?

Do you use OEM parts?
We use quality parts appropriate for the repair and customer goals, including OEM and high-quality aftermarket components when applicable.
Is it worth repairing my Subaru?
